What exactly is Indian Value System?

Does one associates with VS with Indian Caste System or define Indians who live in America – as ones who have no caste, culture or creed

Does it really exist or is it just a “talking” topic in parties?

Are they necessary for second generation Indians?

Is the 2nd generation confused about their Origin, what do they believe in, what should they believe? Is their constant mollycoddling by parents, who to date, what to eat, what to listen, how to behave, how to protect yourself?

How can the parents (1st generation) foster values among their children without becoming overbearing?

What age do you start. If the foundation is strong – in later years the kids can discriminate what is healthy not healthy for them?

What happens to children you are now grown up and scorn values that contradicts their thinking?

The question then is how do you instill those values, given their inter-action, other cultural influence, how do you make them understand what is good bad and ugly?

Pop culture Vs. Classical Culture?

Inter-action with outside world – influence, how best can the kids determine what is good for them, at what age?

2nd generation looking for spouses from India – why?

Reverse Migration:Is the 1st generation Indians thinking of going back to India, has the movement started? Does it have to do with dis-satisfaction with Value system here?

Is value system – being looked after in Old age by their own children, shunning the idea of being in retirement homes?

Marriages falling like nine – pins – 1st generation, as well 2nd generation – why?
